To sell Aetna PDP and MAPD products, you will need to become certified with AHIP as well as with Aetna.

  1. For you to be able to order materials, you must be contracted, certified, and ready to sell for 2022.
  2. You can access the kit-ordering site from the Broker Portal: https://www.aetna.com/insurance-producer.html
  3. Log into Aetna Producer World, click on “Individual Medicare” in the top menu bar, and scroll down until you see “Order Kits, plan guides and plan summary worksheets.” Click on this.
  4. You will then be redirected to the kit-ordering site. You will have to enter your NPN to enter the site.
  5. Follow the prompts to order kits.

  1. You can access presentation materials for Aetna on Aetna Producer World: https://www.aetna.com/producer/Login.do.
  2. Log into Aetna Producer World.
  3. Click on “Individual Medicare” in the top menu bar.
  4. Under the “Share” tab click on “2022 Consumer sales presentations.”
  5. Here you can find Presentation materials, including PowerPoint presentations and videos, specific to the type of Aetna Plan (MAPD vs. PDP).
Enrollment Methods
  1. Method 1: Ascend
    1. To submit an application online, you will need to download the enrollment application- The Ascend Virtual Sales Office app.
    2. To learn more on how to use this application, log into Aetna Producer World.
    3. Click on “Individual Medicare” in the top menu bar.
    4. Under “Enroll”, click on “Learn More” in the “Enroll with the Ascend Virtual Sales Office app, e-kits or RATE” section.
    5. Scroll down to “Resources” and click on the “Introduction to Ascend video” link to learn more.
  2. Method 2: ABC Enrollment Portal
    1. Watch the Enrollment Portal Demo to learn how to use this resource.
  3. Method 3: Paper Application
    1. To submit an enrollment application, you can complete the paper application and fax it into Aetna using the following numbers:
      • For Medicare Advantage: 1-877-819-9167
      • For Prescription Drug: 1-866-415-2232
      • For Medicare Supplement: 1-877-380-2777
Scope of Appointment (SOA)
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires agents to document the scope of a marketing appointment prior to any individual sales meeting. You can find this Scope of Appointment (SOA) in the enrollment kits, on the ABC Enrollment Portal and also on Aetna Producer World: Aetna SOA Form. You are not required to submit the SOA with the enrollment application. SOAs must be maintained for at least 10 years and be available upon request.
  • To view the commission schedule for Aetna, you can do so on Aetna Producer World.
  • Once you are logged in, click on the tab “Compensation” on the left hand of the screen.
  • There you will have the option to view the commissions schedule for both Coventry and Aetna.

Client Tracking
  1. You can view enrollment applications you have submitted by going to Producer World and logging in.
  2. Then click on “Individual Medicare” in the top menu bar.
  3. Under the “Reports” tab click on “Access Reporting.”
  4. Then click on “Pending Application Report” under “Enrollment Reports”
