Step 3: Take and pass your state licensing exam. On the day of your appointment you must bring with you one valid form of government issued identification (driver’s license, passport, military I.D., etc.) which must contain your name and photograph and your Certificate of Completion. You will not be able to take your exam if these requirements are not met.
Security measures are taken for all testing methods. Restrictions on what you may bring with you to the testing center, into the testing room, and what you may wear will be enforced. Your score will be displayed on screen at the end of the examination and a score report will be emailed to you. NOTE: Candidates taking a remotely proctored exam must select to end both the exam portion and survey portion of the test in order to receive your on-screen results and emailed score report.

Starting November 28, 2017 applicants requiring fingerprint submission may begin registering online via their website IdentoGo or by telephone at 844-321- 2101 Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. EST.
Following registration, the applicant will be provided with a registration number that they will take with them when they go to the IdentoGO site for fingerprinting.
Applicants must be registered with IdentoGO prior to arriving at a fingerprinting site. When registering online an applicant must use the appropriate service code assigned to the Insurance Department, which is 1KG8Q3.
Using the correct service code ensures the background check is processed for the correct agency and submitted for the correct purpose. Fingerprint requests processed through any other agency or purpose cannot be accepted. As a reminder, individuals should not register for a fingerprinting appointment and submit their fingerprints until after they have passed any exam requirements and applied for licensure.
Payment is made at the IdentoGO center after the applicant’s fingerprints have been submitted. Credit card, debit card, check or money order, are the only payment methods accepted. No cash transactions or personal checks will be accepted.

CE Guidelines
Your certificate of completion will be emailed to you within two (2) business days. Completions are reported to state entities within two (2) business days of the certificate having been issued. This will also allow time for the licensee to process their renewal prior to expiration.
Repeat Courses
A course cannot be repeated for credit more than once in a 2-year licensing period.
Approved Courses
Students may take an approved course in any line of authority to obtain their Continuing Education credits, but it is recommended that they take courses pertaining to their license type.
Credits Carried Over
Licensees may carry over a maximum of 24 hours into the next license terms.
Resident Producers
Producers licensed in Pennsylvania must complete 24 hours of CE every 2-year license term. Ethics credits are not required for successful completion of PA continuing education. Producers must renew and have met all their CE requirements either before or on the expiration day of their license.
Non-Resident Producers
Nonresidents are exempt from all CE requirements in Pennsylvania. A nonresident who has completed the initial long-term care training in another state with a substantially similar requirement will be deemed compliant with Pennsylvania’s requirement.
