Q: What are the Licensing Steps in Utah?

On the day of your appointment you must bring with you a valid form of government issued identification (driver’s license, passport, military I.D., etc.), one of which must contain a photograph and a signature. (if not you must present two identification cards: one with your photo and one with your signature). You will not be able to take your exam if these requirements are not met.
Security measures are taken for all testing methods. Restrictions on what you may bring with you to the testing center, into the testing room, and what you may wear will be enforced. If you pass, you will receive a successful score report. If you do not pass, you will receive a report indicating your strengths and weaknesses by examination type.

After one year past license expiration date, applicant must reinstate through the Resident License (RL) Application. Applicant cannot renew or reinstate license day one (1) through day three (3) after expiration date. Q: What do I do for Continuing Education to keep my health insurance license in Utah?
CE Guidelines
Agents and adjusters in Utah must take 24 hours of continuing education each two (2) year renewal period, three (3) of the 24 hours being in ethics. The license renewal date is two (2) years at the end of the licensee’s birth month. All CE must be completed before submitting the renewal application.
Title producers must complete 12 hours of continuing education each two (2) year renewal period, three (3) of the 12 hours being in ethics. 50% of the required hours must be completed in certified classroom or classroom equivalent courses.
Repeat Courses
A course may not be taken more than once in any 2-year license renewal period.
Approved Courses
Producers MUST complete at least 50% (12 hours) of their required CE in certified classroom or classroom equivalent courses. Up to 12 hours of CE may be completed with self-study courses. Utah producers can take CE courses in any line of authority. Three (3) of the 24 hours must be in ethics.
Non-Resident Producers
If you have satisfied the continuing education requirements of your home state, Utah will consider that as satisfaction of the continuing education requirements.
