Step 4: Take and pass your state licensing exam. On the day of your appointment you must bring with you two valid forms of government issued identification (driver’s license, passport, military I.D., etc.) one of which must contain a photograph and a signature. You will not be able to take your exam if these requirements are not met.

At the end of the exam, the score will be shown on the screen and you will receive an emailed score report.

Security measures are taken for all testing methods. Restrictions on what you may bring with you to the testing center, into the testing room, and what you may wear will be enforced. For more detailed information about the security measures that will be taken during your testing appointment, please read and review the candidate bulletin offered at Prometric.

Step 5: Apply for your license with Sircon. Attach the CHRR with all related documents to the application. Virginia requires the submission of fingerprints with applications for resident insurance licenses. Applicants must submit their application for an insurance license within 90 days of submitting their fingerprints to Fieldprint.
